Belvedere Fire Company Meeting
Terrance M. “Terry” Clark Sr. joined the Belvedere Volunteer Fire Company in 2011 and was promoted to Assistant Chief in 2013, bringing decades of experience to the organization. Since beginning his fire service career in Pennsylvania (1992), he has served in every fire line officer role and is now serving his second term as our Fire Chief.
Over the course of his career, he has held multiple operational and administrative positions, demonstrating broad leadership, strong incident command skills, and extensive experience in the fire and EMS service. His prior roles include Assistant County Dive Team Coordinator (PA), EMS Administrator in both Pennsylvania and Delaware, and Career Firefighter/Nationally Registered EMT, reflecting a well-rounded and highly professional emergency services background.
Terry became a member of Belvedere Volunteer Fire Company in 2011 and quickly advanced to Assistant Chief in 2013. In 2014, he was honored as Belvedere Volunteer Fire Company’s Firefighter of the Year in recognition of his dedication and service, and he is among a select few members in company history to have held both the office of President and the position of Fire Chief at Belvedere.
Outside of Belvedere, Terry works full time as a Fire/Medical Dispatcher for New Castle County 911, further supporting the community through critical emergency communications. He resides in Newport with his wife, Leslie, and together they have three children—Olivia, Terrance Jr., and Sadie—and Belvedere service is a family tradition, as his brother, Ryan Ayers, is a Past Captain and his son, Terrance Jr., serves as a Junior Firefighter with the company.
